We are seeking a self-motivated individual to help oversee to the daily operations of the HAZ United Kingdom Chapter. HAZ is a registered Charity Organization in the United Kingdom, and we already have volunteers based in the United Kingdom. The role of an Operations Director requires an outgoing candidate who can spare enough time, as a volunteer, to administer the day-to-day operations of HAZ in the UK, while also seeking out new partnerships, and at the same time overseeing a sustained fund-raising campaign to support the organization’s life-saving projects in Zimbabwe.
Applicants:
HAZ’s Chapter Operations Directors work directly with the HAZ Executive Director for Global Operations, but should be motivated enough to work independently towards the defined organization’s vision, with minimum supervision.
This position falls under the “HAZ Staff” Human Resources category, and is a full time staff appointment with HAZ as defined in the HAZ Terms of Service.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to help develop and then head a HAZ Chapter in Canada. HAZ is already a registered Public Charity in the USA, a Charity Organization in the United Kingdom, and a Registered Trust in Zimbabwe.
The role of “Operations Director – HAZ Canada“, will require an individual familiar with the regulatory requirements for setting up charitable organizations in Canada, and also with the ongoing compliance requirements for charitable organizations operating from within Canada. The position also calls for an outgoing candidate who can spare enough time, as a volunteer, to administer the day-to-day operations of HAZ in Canada, while also seeking out new partnerships, and at the same time overseeing a sustained fundraising campaign to support the organization’s life-saving projects in Zimbabwe.
We are seeking an individual with experience generating detailed project reports of in-house HAZ operations. This position is not a journalism position, but more so a monitoring and evaluation position. The individual serving in this role will not write general HIV/AIDS or health articles, but will generate reports specific to, and limited to the in-house operations and activities of HAZ.
The individual will provide detailed and quality reports from assigned field projects in Zimbabwe, and will be compensated at a rate of up to US$25 per completed report (starting at US$10 per report during the first 3 months and going up to $20 per report there-after). Reporters have the opportunity to earn US$25 per article after spending one year with HAZ.
Transportation, Room & Board costs for assignments will be covered by HAZ. Reports will be published on the HAZ web site, and stored as PDF files on the Zimbabwe Online Library of HIV/AIDS References (ZOLAR).
Applicants must provide samples of prior professional writings, to be considered. Training and experience in monitoring and evaluation is preferred.
