WE are seeking perceptive freelance writers and journalists, preferably based in Zimbabwe, to submit regular original content for publication on the HAZ web site. Content needs to be pertinent to issues of HIV/AIDS and health as related to Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans. This is an opportunity for lesser-known but good writers to establish their writing portfolios while supporting a worthy cause and worthy efforts in Zimbabwe, with a reputable organization with an international reach.
Journalists will be compensated at a rate of US$5 per article during the first three months of employment, and this will be raised to US$8 per article after 3 months.
We are here to assist our international clients get their projects off to a solid start in Zimbabwe. From helping them gain an appreciation of the cultural sensitivities they may encounter while working in Zimbabwe, to helping them gather data or specific information for their HIV/AIDS or health related work in or on Zimbabwe? We are looking for individuals wishing to serve as online Group Moderators for our online Community Networks Groups at http://www.hivaidszimbabwe.org/groups. Moderators will be tasked with promoting and directing pertinent discussions & activities within the groups, and ensuring civil discourse within the forums. We would ideally like the moderators to be well versed with the focus area of the Group that they moderate, but primarily, we are looking for engaging and innovative individuals, who are willing to take ownership of the Group assigned to them, and make it as active as possible. Please note that Group activities can very well extend beyond Cyberspace into actual meet-up activities in which the group members meet under the HAZ name to carry out specific activities in line with the HAZ Vision, Mission and Objectives. Group Moderators will officially be considered members of the HAZ Volunteer Staff, and will thus be guided by the terms and conditions of service to HAZ that guide the rest of the staff and volunteers.
