In late 2008, we entered into a partnership with the Salvation Army’s, Zimbabwe Territory, Masiye Camp Program, aimed at benefiting children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Masiye Camp operates under the Salvation Army Development Services Department, which is registered as a welfare organization. The objective of the department is to carry on and promote in Zimbabwe, the religious purposes of the Salvation Army, and such work for the social and moral regeneration and improvement of persons who are destitute or needy and such other educational and charitable objects and purposes as may from time to time be determined.

Mission: Our mission in this partnership is to provide through Masiye Camp, quality psychosocial support to orphans and vulnerable children and youth who are particpants in our various other projects.

Specific Objectives:

  • To generate funding to support the participation of all the young clients in our various other projects, in at least one age-appropriate camp session, at Masiye Camp.
  • To generate funding to support the participation of the project leaders in our various projects, in at least one project-appropriate training session each, at Masiye Camp.
  • To help raise awareness about, and hence promote the efforts of Masiye Camp across the global community.
