REVIEWING GENDER INEQUALITY: An Interview With Mary Sandasi.
Mary Sandasi is the executive director of the Women AIDS Support Network (WASN) in Zimbabwe. WASN is a women’s organisation, which seeks to address women’s issues in the area of HIV and AIDS through advocacy, support and networking. She will be attending the United Nations General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS+5) Review Meeting as part of the civil society delegation from Zimbabwe. The Global AIDS Week of Action, which was civil society’s strategic week of advocacy before the high profile meeting, passed uneventfully in Zimbabwe. This is a disturbing fact in a nation in the epicenter of the epidemic.
